Now I am no garden expert (yet!), so for now I'll just pretend! And I've whittled it down to my top 5...
5. A GARDEN FOR FIRST TOUCH AT ST GEORGE'S
DESIGNED BY PATRICK COLLINS
These photo's really don't do this garden justice. Corten defines the various levels making this space very deceptive as it felt much larger then it was... Very clever Pat.
4. KHORA
DESIGNED BY CATHERINE MACDONALD OF LANDFORM
Whilst Khora was technically not a garden exhibitor, Catherine Macdonald of Landform ensured this stand was unforgettable. I was so taken aback by her planting scheme, with the clever use of yew hedging topiery surrounded by muted coloured perineals and golden grasses, I didn't even realise they were supposedly showcasing 'Steel & Glass Garden Rooms'. Judge for yourselves, however I think elegant dusky orange could be the new purple.
3. THE LAURENT-PERRIER GARDEN
DESIGNED BY LUCIANO GIUBBILEI
Luciano Giubbilei is no stranger to Chelsea Flower Show, nor to Laurent-Perrier. In 2009 he was a gold medal winner for The Laurent-Perrier Garden. So it comes as no surprise that this year he has absolutely smacked it out of the park and won Best Show Garden.
Perhaps a tad Inspired by Carlo Scarpa?
2. HOPE ON THE HORIZON
DESIGNED BY MATT KEIGHTLEY
1. THE TELEGRAPH GARDEN
DESIGNED BY TOMMASO DEL BUONO & PAUL GAZERWITZ
