GRAND DESIGNS, TWO COCKS FARM & BREWERY, NEWBURY
A parallelogram glazed window that opens
Possibly the most well designed house Grand Designs has covered, the Two Cocks Farm & Brewery has stunning attention to detail. The plan with its various floor levels, the polished concrete floors, the clever lighting layout, not to mention the impressive parallelogram window. I just love it all & it is definitely worth a watch.

I adore this dark grey polished concrete floor

ARCHITECT  The architect for this project was Sara Guardhouse of TAATE.

FLOORING The polished concrete floors throughout the building were completed by Lazenby.

GLAZING The large sliding glass window and circular roof light were supplied by Cantifix.

GREEN ROOF The wildflower meadow roof above the guest room was supplied by Wildflower Turf Ltd.

TADELAKT WORKS The Tadelakt applied to all the wet room walls was provided by Decoplast.

YO! HOME

A futuristic living space with space saving solutions. Perfect for a studio apartment.

The double bed rises up out of the floor, and into the ceiling

Fancy a bath or a shower?

Pocket doors allow this kitchen to be cleverly hidden from view

FISCAVAIG - THE HEN HOUSE
Located in rural Isle of Skye

Elevation & Plan

OSB and plywood interior... Love!

As featured on 'The House That 100k Built' this dwelling shows how timber can work well on a façade and cheap building materials like plywood and OSB look great as interior finishes. Designed by RURAL DESIGN ARCHITECTS, this award winning low cost design house is available for holiday lets. Although this house was featured on the show and not actually built for 100K it's still great inspiration.. I'm thinking city chic, loft living on a budget?
